After losing their first conference game, the Lady Bears were looking to bounce back against the Stallions. Throughout the season, Coach Paige, has preached finishing strong. The girls fell behind early in the first half, being outscored 17-10. Bradford responded valiantly in the fourth quarter, scoring a season high 18 points. Nevaeh Davis played her best game of the season, finishing with 14 points and several blocks. Taylor Autrey, scored a season high 10 points and came up strong on the defensive end, producing several steals. Coach Paige stated, “everybody busted their behind and we only played with six.” In what will be a memorable night for the program, the girls fought until the end. The Bears were too much for the Stallions late in the fourth. The Lady Bears notched their first victory of the season and their first conference win. Parents responded saying, “the look on their faces was priceless.” Next week, the Bears will look to continue their winning ways against conference opponent, Community School Davidson.
